Just got this. I’m pretty excited to start using it. If you’re not aware of this thing, it’s a wifi “arduino” that’s flashable via a browser. No more connecting the USB! Should make updates super easy. Hoping to make a house base station screen that displays weather and status info on various arduino projects.

Nice find!! Store link is here, looks like the Photon costs $20. I’m actually more impressed with the Electron. The 2G version costs $50, and you could stick one of those anywhere with cellular service. That opens up a ton of possibilities…
I have a Spark Core, it is the same thing as the Particle Photon and still works with the Particle online software. The company just switched names from Spark to Particle. If anyone wants to try it out, I can leave it at the space.
There is also the 3G (GSM) Electron (Americas/Aus) for $69. The 2G version is GSM (not CDMA).
AT&T may phase out 2G (GSM) at the end of 2016 or they may not!
